Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Battle Free (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the App”, “the Platform”, “the Company”). Battle Free is a mobile and web application that offers online esports tournaments (including but not limited to Free Fire and BGMI), social networking features (chat, voice/video calling, follow/following, Reels and content creation), monetization and referral programs, paid subscriptions, a student part-time job/micro-task program, and an in-app shop/marketplace for the purchase of goods and services. By downloading, installing, registering on, or otherwise accessing or using Battle Free in any manner, you (“User”, “you”, “Player”, “Creator”, “Seller”, “Buyer”, as applicable) unconditionally agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Community Guidelines, Monetization Policy, Refund & Return Policy, and any other rules, policies, or notices published within the App from time to time (collectively, the “Policies”). These Terms, together with the Policies, constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Battle Free. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must immediately stop using the App and, where applicable, request closure of your account. Continued use of the App at any time constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any subsequent amendments.

2. Definitions

• “App” / “Platform” means the Battle Free mobile application, website, and all associated services.
• “User” means any individual who registers, downloads, browses, or otherwise interacts with the App.
• “Wallet” means the in-app digital ledger used to hold, add, or withdraw real monetary value for use within the App.
• “Real Money” means actual legal currency added to, held in, or withdrawn from the Wallet.
• “Content” means any Reel, video, image, audio, text, comment, message, or other material uploaded, posted, or transmitted by a User.
• “Gift Code / Redeem Code” means promotional codes issued by Battle Free that may be redeemed for Wallet credit, in-app items, or other benefits as determined solely by Battle Free.
• “Job Program” means the student part-time work/micro-task opportunities made available through the App.
• “Shop” means the in-app marketplace through which Users may purchase products, merchandise, digital goods, or services.
• “Game of Skill” means a contest, tournament, or match in which the outcome is predominantly determined by the mental or physical skill, training, experience, and attention of the participant, rather than by chance, as further described in Section 5.
• “Restricted State/Territory” means a state, territory, or jurisdiction within India (or elsewhere) where participation in real-money online gaming/tournaments is prohibited or restricted by applicable law, as described in Section 6.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the App. Certain features, including real-money Wallet transactions, withdrawals, the Job Program, subscriptions, monetization, and the Creator Collaboration Program, require you to be at least 18 years of age and to complete additional verification. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law, that all information you provide is true, accurate, and current, and that your use of the App does not violate any law applicable to you, including the laws of the state/territory and country in which you reside. Battle Free reserves the right to request Know Your Customer (KYC) documents, government-issued identification, or age-verification proof at any time, and to suspend access until such verification is satisfactorily completed. Battle Free may refuse service to, or terminate the account of, any User who is later found not to meet these eligibility requirements, and any Wallet balance held by an ineligible User may be frozen pending resolution.

4. KYC & Identity Verification

To comply with applicable law and to prevent fraud, money laundering, and underage participation, Battle Free may require Users to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before withdrawing funds, participating in certain tournaments, or accessing certain features. KYC may include submission of a government-issued photo ID, PAN card, bank account/UPI proof, a live selfie, or other documents as reasonably required. Battle Free reserves the right to reject, delay, or reverse a withdrawal, bonus, or winning credit where KYC verification is incomplete, inconsistent, or where the submitted documents appear fraudulent, forged, or do not match the account holder's details. Repeated failure or refusal to complete KYC when requested may result in account suspension and the Wallet balance being held pending resolution, in accordance with applicable law.

5. Skill-Based Gaming Declaration

Battle Free is a platform for online skill-based esports tournaments. The games and tournaments made available on the Platform (including titles such as Free Fire, BGMI, and other supported titles) require substantial skill, strategy, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, game-sense, and practice, and the outcome of any match or tournament is predominantly and substantially determined by the relative skill of the participating Users rather than by chance. Battle Free's tournaments are therefore “Games of Skill” and are offered on this basis, consistent with the position recognized by Indian courts and by applicable state and central regulations governing online skill-gaming platforms. Nothing in this Section, or in the design of the Platform, is intended to constitute, promote, or facilitate betting, gambling, or wagering in the legal sense of those terms. Battle Free does not offer, and does not intend to offer, any game whose outcome is determined predominantly by chance for stakes of real money, and Battle Free reserves the right to withdraw, suspend, or modify any tournament format found to be inconsistent with this skill-predominance principle or with applicable law. Users acknowledge that participation in paid tournaments involves the risk of losing the entry fee paid, and that Battle Free does not guarantee that any User will win any tournament, prize, or reward. Users are strongly encouraged to participate responsibly and within their own financial means, as further described in Section 30 (Responsible Gaming).

6. State, Territory & Geo-Eligibility Restrictions

The legal position on real-money online skill-gaming varies across different states and union territories of India, and across different countries, and is subject to change. It is the User's sole responsibility to determine whether participation in real-money tournaments on Battle Free is lawful in their state, territory, or country of residence before registering, adding funds, or participating in any paid tournament. As of the effective date of these Terms, certain Indian states have introduced restrictions or prohibitions on online real-money gaming, which may include (without limitation) Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tamil Nadu, in each case subject to the specific and evolving legal framework of that state. This list is illustrative only, is not exhaustive, and may change at any time as state and central laws evolve; Battle Free may add, remove, or update Restricted States from time to time, with or without prior notice, and may use IP-based, GPS-based, SIM-based, or other reasonable technical means to identify and restrict access to real-money features from a Restricted State or territory. Users physically located in, or who are otherwise required by law to comply with the gaming regulations of, a Restricted State or territory at any given time must not participate in paid, real-money tournaments on the Platform. Battle Free reserves the right to immediately suspend Wallet functionality, freeze withdrawal requests, or restrict access for any User reasonably believed to be located in, or accessing the App from, a Restricted State or territory, without liability to Battle Free. Users travelling to or residing in a Restricted State or territory should promptly cease real-money participation for the duration of their presence there. Battle Free is intended primarily for use within India. Users accessing the Platform from outside India do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws applicable to online gaming, remittance, and taxation in their own country; Battle Free makes no representation that the Platform is appropriate, available, or lawful for use in every jurisdiction.

7. Account Registration & Security

• Users must register using accurate personal details, valid contact information (mobile number/email), and correct in-game IDs.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, OTPs, and password, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Creation of multiple/duplicate accounts by the same individual, submission of fake or misleading details, or impersonation of another person is strictly prohibited and will result in suspension or permanent termination without refund.
• Battle Free is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
• Users must promptly notify Battle Free at support@battlefree.in upon becoming aware of any unauthorized access to, or use of, their account.

8. Accuracy of Game ID, UPI & Payment Details

Users are solely responsible for entering correct and valid in-game IDs, UPI IDs, bank account numbers, IFSC codes, and other payment details at the time of registration, tournament entry, or withdrawal request. If any payment, prize, reward, or withdrawal is sent to an incorrect account, wallet, or game ID as a direct result of information supplied by the User, Battle Free shall not be responsible for reissuing, refunding, reversing, or otherwise compensating for such loss. The User bears full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of all submitted details prior to confirmation.

9. Wallet, Real-Money Payments & No-Refund Policy

• Battle Free operates a real-money Wallet system. Users may add money to their Wallet through supported payment gateways/UPI and use such balance to enter paid tournaments, purchase items in the Shop, or unlock subscriptions/features.
• Amounts added to the Wallet are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to any other person, account, or platform, except where legally mandated.
• Withdrawal requests are subject to identity/KYC verification, minimum withdrawal thresholds, and processing timelines communicated within the App, and may take a reasonable number of business days (ordinarily within 24 hours of a valid, verified request, subject to banking/UPI system timelines) to process.
• Battle Free is not liable for delays, failures, or reversals caused by banking systems, UPI infrastructure, payment gateways, telecom/network failures, or actions of any third-party financial institution.
• Gift Codes and Redeem Codes are promotional in nature, may have expiry dates, usage limits, or eligibility conditions, may be discontinued at any time without notice, and hold no cash value outside the App unless expressly stated.
• Any attempt to reverse a payment through unauthorized chargebacks, disputes filed in bad faith, or fraudulent claims to a bank or payment provider will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of Wallet balance, and may lead to civil and/or criminal legal action, including under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
• Battle Free may impose reasonable daily, weekly, or monthly limits on Wallet top-ups and withdrawals for security, fraud-prevention, and regulatory-compliance purposes.

10. Service Charges & Platform Fees

Battle Free may deduct applicable service charges, platform fees, or commissions from Wallet transactions, tournament entry fees, withdrawals, Shop purchases, subscriptions, and monetization payouts. Such charges may be levied towards platform maintenance, payment-gateway costs, withdrawal processing, tournament hosting, and general operational expenses. The applicable percentage or flat fee for any charge will be displayed within the relevant section of the App and may be revised by Battle Free from time to time at its sole discretion. Continued use of the App after such revision constitutes acceptance of the revised charges.

11. Tournaments & Winnings

• All tournaments hosted on Battle Free, including but not limited to Free Fire and BGMI tournaments, must be played strictly in accordance with the rules displayed for that specific tournament at the time of registration, and the Match Rules & Fair Play Policy published within the App.
• Decisions of Battle Free administrators regarding match results, disputes, disqualifications, and prize eligibility are final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed through any external forum, save as required by applicable law.
• Winnings, prize money, or rewards will be credited to the Wallet only after successful manual and/or automated verification of match results and proof of participation.
• Submission of false, manipulated, or fabricated match proof/screenshots or video recordings will result in immediate forfeiture of winnings, disqualification, and a permanent ban from the Platform.
• Entry fees for paid tournaments are deducted from the Wallet at the time of registration and are non-refundable, except where a tournament is cancelled solely due to a fault of Battle Free (for example, failure to provide Room ID/Password), or where a User's refund claim is verified and approved under the Match Rules & Fair Play Policy.

12. Fair Play & Anti-Cheat Policy

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on the Platform:

• Hacking, cheating, use of aim-assist tools, scripts, macros, emulators (where prohibited for the relevant match), or any third-party software that provides an unfair advantage.
• Submitting fake, edited, or manipulated screenshots, videos, or match results.
• Using another person's account or allowing another person to use your account for tournament participation.
• Match-fixing, collusion between players/teams, or any form of result manipulation.
• Creating or operating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage or to defraud the Platform.

Violation of this Fair Play Policy may result in one or more of the following penalties, at the sole discretion of Battle Free: permanent account ban, freezing of Wallet balance, forfeiture of winnings and rewards, and referral or reporting of the matter to law-enforcement authorities under applicable Cyber and IT laws.

13. Chat, Voice/Video Calling & Messaging Policy

• Battle Free provides in-app chat and voice/video calling features to enable communication between Users for tournament coordination and social interaction.
• Private chats and calls on Battle Free are NOT end-to-end encrypted. Battle Free may access, store, review, and monitor chat logs, call metadata, and related content strictly for the purposes of fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety investigations, and compliance with applicable law.
• Users must not use chat or calling features to transmit hate speech, threats, harassment, abuse, spam, scam links, phishing content, sexually explicit material, or any other unlawful content.
• Messages, recordings, or logs may be reviewed and used as evidence in the event of a fraud investigation, abuse complaint, or legal proceeding.
• Battle Free reserves the right to suspend or restrict chat/calling privileges for any User found to be in violation of this Policy or the Community Guidelines.
• As disclosed elsewhere in these Terms, chat history is automatically and permanently deleted from Battle Free's active systems on a rolling basis (ordinarily every 24 hours, purged daily), except where retained for an active fraud, abuse, or legal investigation.

14. Reels, Content Creation & Social Features

• Battle Free allows Users to follow and be followed by other Users, and to create, upload, and share Reels, videos, images, text posts, and other Content.
• Users are solely and fully responsible for all Content they upload, including its legality, accuracy, and compliance with third-party intellectual-property rights.
• Uploading copyrighted material without appropriate ownership or licence/permission is strictly prohibited.
• Battle Free reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to review, hide, restrict, demonetize, or permanently delete any Content that it deems to violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
• By uploading Content, the User grants Battle Free a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote such Content within the App.

15. Content Monetization Policy

• Eligibility for content monetization is subject to Battle Free's discretion and may require minimum engagement, follower, or Reel-count thresholds, as described in the separate Monetization Policy.
• The use of fake views, bot traffic, self-viewing, click fraud, or any other artificial means to inflate engagement metrics is strictly prohibited.
• Battle Free reserves the right to adjust, withhold, delay, or cancel monetization earnings where fraud or policy violation is identified.
• A service fee or commission may be deducted by Battle Free from monetization payouts before crediting the balance, in accordance with the revenue-share model described in the Monetization Policy.
• Creators are solely responsible for any tax liability arising from monetization earnings.

16. Advertisement Policy

Free-tier Users may be shown in-app and third-party advertisements as part of the App's revenue model. Users subscribed to an eligible paid subscription plan may receive an ad-reduced or ad-free experience. Battle Free is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or outcome of any third-party advertisement, and inclusion of an advertisement does not constitute Battle Free's endorsement of the advertised product or service.

17. Referral Policy

• Users may earn referral rewards, up to a maximum amount displayed within the App at the relevant time, by inviting new, genuine Users to join Battle Free using their unique referral code (ordinarily their Battle Free username).
• A referral becomes eligible for reward only once the referred User has signed up using the referrer's code and has successfully joined and completed at least one paid match on the Platform, as further described in the App and in any applicable Creator/Referral collaboration terms.
• Self-referral, referral through fake, duplicate, or bot-generated accounts, or any other fraudulent referral activity is strictly prohibited and will result in forfeiture of the associated reward and may result in account suspension.
• Battle Free reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program, or to change referral reward amounts, at any time and without prior notice.

18. Creator Collaboration Program

Battle Free may separately invite selected content creators and influencers to participate in a Creator Collaboration Program, under which a Creator may earn either (a) a variable, individually negotiated amount per successful referral, or (b) a fixed, individually negotiated percentage of Battle Free's net platform earnings for a given period, as more particularly set out in a separate Creator Collaboration Agreement signed or digitally accepted between the Creator and Battle Free. Where a User has entered into such an agreement, the specific terms of that agreement govern the Creator's compensation, in addition to and consistent with these Terms.

19. Subscription Policy

Battle Free may offer paid subscription plans that unlock additional benefits such as reduced or ad-free browsing, higher or unlimited Reel upload limits, professional profile features, priority customer support, and eligibility to apply for content monetization, among other benefits described for each specific plan within the App at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled by the User before the renewal date.

• Non-Cancellable & Non-Refundable: Once a subscription plan is purchased, it cannot be cancelled, paused, refunded, or exchanged for a different plan during its active validity period, except where required by applicable law. The User acknowledges that the subscription fee is charged in full at the time of purchase for the entire duration of that plan, regardless of whether the User continues to use the App or its features for the full duration.
• One Active Plan at a Time: A User may hold only one active subscription plan at any given time. While a plan is active, the purchase buttons for all other plans will be disabled or hidden within the App, and the User cannot purchase an alternate plan to run concurrently with their active plan.
• Upgrade & Queued (“Upcoming”) Plans: If a User wishes to change their subscription while a plan is still active, the User may purchase a new plan, which will be queued as an “upcoming” plan rather than activated immediately. The User will be given the option to either (a) wait for the queued plan to activate automatically at the exact date and time their current active plan expires, or (b) manually activate the queued plan immediately. Choosing to immediately activate a queued plan will immediately terminate the current active plan and forfeit any remaining validity period, days, minutes, or benefits of that current plan, with no refund, credit, or compensation for the unused portion. Only one plan may be queued as “upcoming” at a time.
• Time-Limited Trial Plans: Certain subscription plans may be offered as short-duration trial plans, measured in minutes or hours rather than days, for demonstration or promotional purposes. Such trial plans are independently and continuously verified by Battle Free's backend servers in real time, regardless of the User's device settings, time zone manipulation, VPN usage, or any other attempt to alter or extend the trial period. The trial duration displayed within the App is not editable by the User and will expire strictly according to server-verified time, after which the account will automatically revert to the free plan.
• Real-Time Verification & Expiry: All subscription validity, remaining duration, and expiry calculations are performed and verified exclusively by Battle Free's backend systems, and not by the User's device, in order to prevent manipulation through device clock changes, VPN usage, or any other method.
• Pricing, MRP & Displayed Discounts: The subscription price, reference/MRP price, and any percentage discount shown within the App are configured and controlled by Battle Free and are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Any “discount” or “% off” shown alongside a subscription plan reflects a comparison against a reference price set by Battle Free for marketing purposes, and does not constitute a guarantee of future pricing.
• Monetization Eligibility Tied to Subscription Tier: Certain subscription plans (such as higher-tier or lifetime plans) may include eligibility to apply for or access Reel monetization features, subject to the additional eligibility criteria, review process, and terms described in the Monetization Policy. Holding a qualifying subscription plan is a necessary condition for monetization eligibility under such plans, but does not by itself guarantee approval for monetization.
• Expiry Reminders: Where a subscription plan is nearing expiry, Battle Free may send the User reminder communications, including email and push notifications, to inform the User of the upcoming expiry and to prompt renewal. Battle Free does not guarantee a fixed schedule or minimum/maximum number of reminders, beyond making reasonable efforts to notify the User in advance of expiry.
• Feature & Plan Changes: Battle Free reserves the right to change subscription pricing, plan structure, benefits, trial durations, or plan availability (including hiding or discontinuing any plan) at any time; existing active subscriptions already purchased will continue to receive the benefits applicable at the time of purchase for the remaining duration of that specific plan, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
• Suspension for Violation: Battle Free may suspend or cancel a User's active subscription without refund in the event of a violation of these Terms, fraudulent payment activity, or abuse of subscription-linked features (including but not limited to monetization or advertising benefits).

20. Student Part-Time Job / Micro-Task Program

• Battle Free offers eligible Users the opportunity to undertake part-time work or micro-tasks (“Job Program”). Participation in the Job Program requires the User to be at least 18 years of age and to have completed applicable KYC/identity verification.
• Participation in the Job Program does not create an employer-employee relationship, agency, or partnership between Battle Free and the participating User; the User acts as an independent participant undertaking task-based micro-work.
• Payment for tasks shall be credited to the User's Wallet only after verification of satisfactory completion, in accordance with the task's stated requirements.
• Battle Free does not guarantee a minimum volume, frequency, or continued availability of job opportunities, and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Job Program, or any specific task category, at any time.
• Submission of fraudulent, plagiarized, or fake task completions will result in forfeiture of the associated payment and may result in suspension from the Job Program and/or the User's Battle Free account.

21. In-App Shop / Marketplace Policy

• Battle Free operates an in-app Shop for products, merchandise, or services using real-money Wallet balance.
• Orders are confirmed only upon successful payment and are subject to acceptance by Battle Free or the relevant seller.
• Delivery timelines are estimates only and may be affected by third-party logistics providers, and Battle Free is not liable for courier delays outside its reasonable control.
• Returns, refunds, cancellations, and replacements for Shop purchases are governed exclusively by the separate Refund & Return Policy published within the App and on the Battle Free website, which forms part of these Terms by reference. As of the effective date of these Terms, the Refund & Return Policy operates on a strict no-cancellation, no-cash-refund basis, with free like-for-like replacement available only for verified transit damage, defective, or incorrect items reported within the applicable notice window (ordinarily 24 hours of delivery) and supported by a continuous, unedited unboxing video as required by that Policy. Users must review the Refund & Return Policy prior to making any Shop purchase.

22. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

Battle Free collects certain personal, gameplay, payment, and usage data strictly for the purposes of operating the App. We will NOT sell or rent your personal data to any third party for their independent marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Please review our separate Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, for full details on what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights in respect of that data.

23. Service Availability & Downtime

Battle Free does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous access to the App and shall not be liable for any loss arising from server downtime, scheduled or emergency maintenance, or technical failures, save that Battle Free will make reasonable efforts to notify Users of planned extended downtime in advance where practicable.

24. Third-Party Game Dependency

Battle Free is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Garena Free Fire, Krafton BGMI, or any other game publisher whose titles may be featured in Battle Free tournaments. Any in-game penalties, bans, or suspensions imposed by a game publisher are entirely outside Battle Free's control and are the sole responsibility of that publisher; Battle Free is not liable for any loss arising from such publisher-side action, though Battle Free may, at its discretion, take this into account when reviewing a related dispute on the Platform.

25. Evidence, Monitoring & AI Moderation

Battle Free may monitor matches, chats, and Content, and store gameplay data, screenshots, and video proof, for the purposes of detecting fraud, cheating, and policy violations. Battle Free may use automated systems, machine learning, and AI-based tools to detect spam, cheating, hate speech, or other abusive or prohibited behaviour. By using the App, you consent to such reasonable monitoring, subject always to the Privacy Policy.

26. Intellectual Property

All logos, branding, user-interface design, source code, and text created by Battle Free are the exclusive intellectual property of Battle Free (or its licensors). Unauthorized reproduction, reverse-engineering, decompiling, scraping, or commercial use of Battle Free's intellectual property without prior written consent is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

27. User Conduct & Behaviour

Users must treat administrators and fellow Users with respect at all times, on and off the battlefield. Abuse, threats, hate speech, or harassment directed at another User, Creator, or Battle Free staff member — whether through in-app chat, voice calls, Reels, comments, or any other feature — may result in warnings, feature restrictions, or immediate and permanent termination of the offending account, in accordance with the Community Guidelines.

28. Username & Profile Policy

Usernames, display names, or profile pictures that are offensive, misleading, impersonate another person or brand, or infringe upon any third party's copyright or trademark are not permitted. Battle Free may rename, remove, or restrict any profile found to be in violation, with or without prior notice.

29. Community Guidelines

These Terms incorporate by reference the full Battle Free Community Guidelines, which set out detailed rules on acceptable conduct across the Platform. Without limiting the Community Guidelines, the following are strictly prohibited on Battle Free at all times:

• Hate speech, discrimination, or content targeting a person or group based on a protected characteristic.
• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content, including any content that sexualizes or endangers minors, which is subject to a strict zero-tolerance policy and mandatory reporting to appropriate authorities.
• Promotion, glorification, or facilitation of violence, terrorism, or extremist ideology.
• Illegal trading, sale of prohibited or counterfeit goods, or facilitation of any other unlawful transaction through the Platform.

30. Responsible Gaming & Self-Exclusion

Battle Free is committed to promoting responsible participation in its real-money tournaments. Users are encouraged to treat entry fees as an amount they are fully prepared to lose, to set personal spending limits, and to avoid participating in tournaments as a means of recovering prior losses (“chasing losses”). Battle Free strongly discourages participation by anyone who is experiencing financial hardship, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or otherwise shows signs of compulsive or problem gaming behaviour. Users who feel their participation in real-money tournaments is becoming difficult to control are encouraged to take a break from the Platform and, where appropriate, seek independent professional support. Users may request Battle Free, in writing to support@battlefree.in, to place voluntary limits on their own Wallet top-ups, or to temporarily or permanently self-exclude their account from real-money tournament participation. Battle Free will make reasonable efforts to honour such requests once verified, subject to its ability to technically implement the specific request. Parents or guardians who become aware that a minor has accessed real-money features in violation of these Terms should contact support@battlefree.in immediately so the account can be reviewed and appropriately restricted. Nothing in this Section obligates Battle Free to monitor, diagnose, or intervene in any individual User's gaming behaviour beyond the reasonable steps described above, and Battle Free is not a substitute for professional counselling or medical advice on problem gaming.

31. Anti-Money Laundering & Fraud Prevention

Battle Free maintains reasonable technical and procedural measures to detect and prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and payment fraud in connection with Wallet transactions, including transaction monitoring, KYC verification, and cooperation with payment partners' own fraud-detection systems. Battle Free reserves the right to freeze, delay, or reverse any Wallet transaction, and to report the same to appropriate banking, payment, or law-enforcement authorities, where it reasonably suspects that a transaction is connected with money laundering, fraud, or any other unlawful activity. Users must not use the Wallet or any other Battle Free feature to layer, launder, or otherwise disguise the proceeds of unlawful activity, and any User found doing so will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities.

32. Taxes & Legal Compliance

Users are solely responsible for determining and paying any income tax, GST, or other statutory levy on winnings, referral income, monetization earnings, or any other amount derived through the App. Battle Free does not act as, and this Section does not constitute, tax advice. Users acknowledge that, under Indian tax law, net winnings from online games (including skill-based real-money gaming) are subject to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) under the applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (including Section 194BA or its successor provision, as amended from time to time), and that Battle Free may be required to deduct TDS from qualifying winnings before crediting them to the User's Wallet, and to report such deductions to the tax authorities. Where such TDS is deducted, the User will be provided with the relevant TDS certificate/documentation upon request, and remains separately responsible for including such income in their own tax return and for discharging any further tax liability beyond the amount deducted at source.

33. Force Majeure

Battle Free shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecom infrastructure failure, or cyber-attacks.

34. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Battle Free shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use of the App, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity. Total aggregate liability of Battle Free to any User, arising out of or in connection with these Terms, shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by that User to Battle Free in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

35. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Battle Free, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your breach of these Terms or any Policy; (b) Content you upload that infringes a third party's rights or violates applicable law; (c) your violation of applicable law in connection with your use of the App; or (d) any fraudulent, false, or misleading claim, submission, or dispute you raise in connection with the Platform.

36. Owner & Personal Liability Shield

Individual owners, directors, and employees of Battle Free shall not be held personally liable for any dispute or loss arising from the operation of the App. Claims must be directed solely towards Battle Free as a corporate entity, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

37. User's Own Legal Responsibility

Each User is fully and solely responsible for their own actions and transactions on the Platform. Should a User engage in illegal activity through or in connection with the App, Battle Free bears no responsibility for that activity, and the User alone shall bear all resulting legal consequences.

38. Suspension & Termination of Account

Battle Free may suspend or permanently terminate an account, with or without prior notice, for fraud, cheating, abuse, violation of these Terms or any Policy, suspected underage or Restricted-State access, or any other reasonable cause. Upon termination for cause, any Wallet balance associated with the violation may be forfeited, subject to applicable law.

39. Feature Changes & Platform Modifications

Battle Free reserves the right to add, remove, or modify any feature, match type, or section of the App at any time, at its sole discretion, without incurring any liability to Users, save that Battle Free will make reasonable efforts to honour obligations already accrued (such as pending withdrawals or confirmed winnings) as of the date of any such change.

40. Promotional & Marketing Rights

Battle Free may use a User's username, profile picture, and tournament achievements (such as leaderboard rank, kill count, or winnings) for marketing and promotional purposes across any media, including in-app banners, social media, and advertising, without additional compensation to the User, unless a separate written agreement (such as a Creator Collaboration Agreement) provides otherwise.

41. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder (including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended), Battle Free has appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints regarding the App and its Content.

Users may lodge complaints relating to Content, account actions, or any other matter governed by these Terms with the Grievance Officer using the contact details above. Battle Free will investigate and respond to genuine grievances in accordance with applicable law.

42. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Policies, or the use of the App (a “Dispute”), the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the Dispute amicably through good-faith negotiation, by the User raising the matter in writing with support@battlefree.in. Battle Free will make reasonable efforts to address the Dispute within thirty (30) days of it being formally raised. If a Dispute is not resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, the parties agree that the Dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended from time to time), by a sole arbitrator appointed by Battle Free. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be India, and the language of the arbitration shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties, subject to any right of challenge available under applicable law. Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to prevent irreparable harm, pending the constitution or conclusion of the arbitration.

43. Jurisdiction & Governing Law

These Terms, and any Dispute not finally resolved through the arbitration procedure in Section 42, shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 42, the courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

44. Amendments to These Terms

Battle Free reserves the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms at any time, at its sole discretion. Material changes will be notified to Users through the App, by email, or through an in-app notification, where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the App after such notice, or after the revised Terms are published within the App, constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

45. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or arbitral tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

46. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms to any other person without Battle Free's prior written consent. Battle Free may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of substantially all of its business or assets.

47. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Community Guidelines, Monetization Policy, Refund & Return Policy, Match Rules & Fair Play Policy, and any Creator Collaboration Agreement or other document expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Battle Free with respect to your use of the App, and supersede all prior discussions, negotiations, and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

48. Notices

Battle Free may provide notices to Users via email, SMS, push notification, or in-app announcement, using the contact details registered on the User's account. Notices to Battle Free must be sent in writing to support@battlefree.in. A notice sent by email shall be deemed received one (1) business day after being sent, absent evidence of non-delivery.

49. Relationship to Other Policies

These Terms work together with, and do not replace, the Battle Free Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Community Guidelines, Monetization Policy, Refund & Return Policy, Match Rules & Fair Play Policy, and any Creator Collaboration Agreement. Where a specific Policy addresses a topic in more detail than these Terms, that Policy provides the more detailed, operative standard for that specific topic, without derogating from the general provisions of these Terms.
